Planning a Las Vegas vacation can be a bit daunting because there are so many things to do and so many sights to visit. Luckily everything worth doing or seeing in the city is centrally located on The Strip.

The very first thing to do on the tour is to simply walk The Strip. Absorbing all of the sights and scenes can take a few hours but is well worth the walk. The stroll will take you past all of the hallmarks and will give you a better idea what you would like to investigate further. The entire Strip (which is officially known as Boulevard) takes about three hours to traverse by foot - but what a walking adventure it is - so pack some good walking shoes and prepare to be awed.

The fountains at the Bellagio are a sight to behold. The fountains dance to all types of music and are really pretty phenomenal. The fountains are huge and shoot water up over four hundred feet into the air. These fountains are a must see when in Vegas.

The Lion Habitat in the MGM Grand Hotel is amazing. The enclosure goes up three levels and the Lions roam freely throughout. They are at ease in their home and don't seem to mind visitors. The Lions are well fed and well cared for, the handlers can be seen in the habitat feeding and playing with them. These are among the planet's most vicious and dangerous carnivores - and yet they seem to be right at home amongst the glitz.

The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is located in the Mirage Hotel. There are not only Dolphins but there are White Tigers, White Lions, Panthers and Leopards all in an amazing natural habitat. The family of bottle nose dolphins put on a show several times a day that rivals any experience at Sea World. There is also an aquarium located at the Mirage and an erupting volcano out front. This is a must see attraction. Locals consider the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat the local zoo.

The Stratosphere Tower is a study in modern engineering. The Tower looms over the city, and contains thrill rides at the top of the tower. There is a roller coaster, a reverse bungee jump and an arm that sways vicariously away from the tower and spins at forces that could knock some teeth out. The Stratosphere Tower is the ultimate in thrill seeking. There is a bar and restaurant for those who prefer to keep their feet planted firmly on the ground. There are panoramic views of the entire city and beyond to the snow capped mountains in the far distance.

Las Vegas vacations have something for everyone in the family, the Las Vegas tourism committee has worked toward insuring that folks of all ages would want to come to Vegas and then want to come back many times after.
